WHAT DATA WE COLLECT
MEMber BYS collects the following data only when you actively use the extension:
- Web page content (text) from pages you choose to analyze using the "Read Page" feature
- URLs of pages you use the extension on
- Images and PDF documents you manually upload
- Your chat messages and conversation history (stored locally in your browser)

HOW WE USE YOUR DATA
- Web page content and uploaded files are sent to our backend server solely to generate AI responses
- Conversation history is stored locally in your browser using Chrome's storage API
- We do not collect or process any data when the extension is not actively being used

DATA SHARING
- We do not sell your data to third parties
- We do not share your data for advertising purposes
- Page content is processed in real-time to generate AI responses and is not permanently stored on our servers

DATA STORAGE
- Local data (preferences, conversation history) is stored in your browser and can be cleared by removing the extension
- Data sent to our server is used only for processing AI responses and is not retained after the request is complete

YOUR RIGHTS
- You can stop all data collection at any time by disabling or uninstalling the extension
- You can clear locally stored data through Chrome's extension settings

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
